SRAM XX 10 speed mountain cassette
whenever i get down about how expensive road bike components are i like to look at mtb stuff and think things like ‘at least i am not spending $300+ on a cassette’

Whenever I look at components I think, why the fuck is anyone buying a cassette?

OH heh well you see the thing about that is there are people who like to ride fast on bikes, and i mean like, you know, actually fast. not whatever it is that dudes who never get outta one gear equate to being fast.
is it a cool thing to reblog a reblog of yourself?  did i just do a tumblr noob thing?

Gears equating fast isn’t necessarily true.  I SS the Oakridge trails on a 20 year old rigid and easy pace a fully geared FS ridden by a triathlete.  I do road rides with people on my SS and no one ever beats me up the hill.  For 90% of the riding out there, SS will get the job done just as well as gears.  And yes, for the first decade I rode geared bikes.
